Steps in the Enrollment Process
Accept the Offer of Admission
There are two ways to accept the offer of admission:
Online at Your Rutgers Status or
Via mail by following the instructions on the Admission Acknowledgement Form that accompanied your letter of admission.
Complete Placement Testing
Most first-year students and some transfer students are required to take placement tests. Tests in English and mathematics (and sometimes a foreign language) may be required.
Register for Courses
First-year students
Advisors will review your placement test scores and the major or program that you indicated on your admissions application and create your schedule of classes. This will be mailed to you. If you would like to make changes to this, you can make an appointment with an academic advisor. Students in specific programs will be contacted directly to make advising appointments. Call (856) 225-6043 or visit http://www.camden.rutgers.edu/RUCAM/studentaffairs.
Transfer students
You may register online at webreg.rutgers.edu, but please be sure to check carefully that your courses appropriately fit Rutgers requirements.. If you wish to meet with an academic advisor for assistance with the registration process, you can do so on Transfer Day (bring your evaluation of transfer credit, general education and degree requirement checklist, and a tentative schedule of classes). You can also make an appointment with an assistant dean for academic advising. If you have not yet declared a major or are in the College of Arts & Sciences or University College, please call (856) 225-6043 for an appointment. If you have been accepted to the School of Business, please call (856) 225-6216.
Apply for Financial Aid
Students are encouraged to apply for financial aid as soon as possible in the enrollment process based on the following deadline dates. Admission to Rutgers is not required tio file the financial aid application.
To insure timely notification students admitted for Spring 2007 should file the FAFSA no later than November 2006. The earliest date to submit the FAFSA for students admitted for Fall 2007 is January 1, 2007. The Rutgers University priority filing deadline for the 2007-2008 academic year is March 15, 2007. During Orientation you will learn about the many services and programs available on campus, have an opportunity to interact with student leaders and upperclassmen, meet faculty, staff and advisors, and be introduced to this wonderful campus and all that it has to offer.
Bill Payment
Bills are generally mailed to students in and for students admitted for Spring and Fall semesters respectively. Payment is not due until for students accepted for Spring 2007 and for students accepted for Fall 2007. Rutgers provides students and parents with a number of convenient options for paying and financing their term bills. You can pay your term bill by mail or online at www.studentabc.rutgers.edu.
