We will be using a required textbook for the course: it is a subscription e-book format (called a zyBook) that re-imagines traditional textbook material by using interspersed participation and challenge activities, exercises, and code animations to illustrate and reinforce your understanding of the concepts. Additional lab exercises are also available some of which will be assigned as part of your homework or lab sessions.

Here are the steps to get your own copy of the zyBook:

  1. Sign in or create an account at learn.zybooks.com using your <RUID>@scarletmail.rutgers.edu account

  2. Enter zyBook code: RUTGERS50198111ShendeSpring2021

  3. Subscribe

As needed, any additional notes, clarifications, and expository content related to the zyBook material will be added and linked from the zyBook itself.
