The laboratory of Patrick McIlroy (UC Berkeley, 78) is focused on the mechanism of action of polypeptide hormones; how they interact with their receptors, the second messenger systems they use and how these systems interact. The primary focus is on gonadotropin (hCG and LH) action in the ovary.
