Jack Worrall is
Professor of Economics and
is also a member of the Graduate Economics Faculty and the Industrial
and Labor Relations Faculty at Rutgers, New Brunswick. His research
interests are in Workers' Compensation Insurance and labor
economics. Jack's work has appeared in the Economic Journal, the Journal
of Law and Economics, The Review of Economics and Statistics, the Journal
of Human Resources, the Journal of Risk and Insurance, the Journal of
Labor Research, etc. He is an Associate Editor of the journals Insurance: Mathematics and Economics,
and the Journal of Risk and Insurance. He was selected by the Alumni
Association as the Outstanding Faculty member in 1991 for excellence in
teaching and distinguished service to the University. He was a winner of
the 1998 Warren I Susman award for teaching excellence. A frequent public
speeker, he delivered
the Fourth Annual John R. Commons Lecture at the University of Wisconsis
Graduate School of Business. A member of many professional
organizations, he is a Past President of the Risk Theory Society and is
a member of the National Academy of Social Insurance. He has testified
frequently in insurance proceedings. He is active in the community and
is a past president of The Federation of Irish American Societies
of the Delaware Valley.
