Grading

Quizzes	35%
Three tests@ 15% each	45%
Final (cumulative) examination	20%

There will be no make-up quizzes in any circumstances. The lowest 2 quiz grades will be dropped.
Make-up test or the final examination may be given only in extreme circumstances, such as serious illness or family emergency. Students will be required to present proper documents. Students must consult the instructor for additional information.
Students with excellent attendance and proven record of sincerity in the class may be given extra credit work after the second or the third test.
Homework will be assigned every week. Homework will be not graded. However, quizzes, tests, and the final cumulative examination will be based on homework.

Policies

Class attendance is mandatory.
Blackboard and Rutgers (Camden) email will be used for communications. Students are required to check these regularly.

Use of cellphone is not allowed in the class. (You must remember to switch off your cellphone .) If you fail to do that, you will be asked to leave the class immediately for that period and you will be marked absent. This rule will be followed even if there is a quiz, a test, or the final examination on that day.
The instructor reserves the right to make changes in the syllabus and the grading scheme any time during the semester.
