1. What texts are required?

Introductory Botany: Plants, People & The Environment, 2nd ed. by Linda R. Berg, 2008. Cengage Learning-Brooks/Cole. ISBN 0-534-46669-9

Study Guide for Basic Botany by R. C. Evans, 2008. Cengage Learning-Brooks/Cole. ISBN 1426630735

2. Where can I purchase these texts?

The textbook and Study Guide constitute a "package" that can be purchased at one of the following three college/university bookstores:

  • University District Bookstore adjacent to the Rutgers University-Camden Campus
  • Western Monmouth Higher Education Center via the Rutgers University-New Brunswick bookstore
  • Atlantic Cape Community College Bookstore

Please be aware that although the textbook can also be purchased from various commercial vendors, the Study Guide is custom-published specifically for this course, and thus it is available only at one of the three college/university bookstores indicated above.

3. I normally take courses at Rutgers-Camden. What procedure should I follow to purchase these texts?

You have two main options:

  • If convenient, stop by the bookstore in person
  • Alternatively, you can purchase them online at the bookstore's website following the instructions below. (Please be advised that these items usually do not become available until about two weeks before the course begins):

    1. Access the bookstore’s website: http://www.efollett.com
    2. Under Find Your Bookstore, select New Jersey
    3. Under Select Your Institution, select “Rutgers University-Camden”
    4. Click on “Find Your Textbooks and Course Materials”.
    5. Under Select Your Institution, select “University District Bookstore”
    6. Under Select Your Term, select "Summer 2008"
    7. Under Select Your Division, select "Rutgers"
    8. Under Select Your Department, select "130"
    9 . Under Select Your Course, select “201"
    10. Under Select Your Section, choose “D1" (You will see both items displayed and ready to order.)

4. I normally take courses at the Western Monmouth Higher Education Center (WMHEC)? What procedure should I follow to purchase these texts?

You have two main options:

  • If convenient, purchase these materials from representatives of the Rutgers-New Brunswick bookstore when they visit the WMHEC campus on May 27-28. (But you must move quickly because we have a Sample Quiz deadline on May 27 and the first for-real Quiz on May 28).
  • Alternatively, you can purchase them online from the bookstore's website following the instructions below. (Please be advised that these items usually do not become available until about two weeks before the course begins):

    1. Access the bookstore’s website: http://www.efollett.com
    2. Under Find Your Bookstore, select New Jersey
    3. Under Select Your Institution, select “Rutgers University - New Brunswick”
    4. Under Select Your Campus, select “Rutgers University - New Brunswick”
    5. Click on “Find Your Textbooks and Course Materials”.
    6. Under Select Your Term, select “Summer 2008"
    7. Under Select Your Department, choose “130"
    8 . Under Select Your Course, choose “201"
    9 . Under Select Your Section, choose “D1" (You will see both items displayed and ready to order.)

5. I normally take courses at Atlantic Cape Community College (ACCC). What procedure should I follow to purchase these texts?

You have two main options:

  • Place your orders via telephone or fax with the textbook manager at ACCC. When ordering your texts please make sure that you include the complete course number and section of your course, the full title of the book(s), edition, publisher and the ISBN#. Also, please be sure to tell the textbook manager that the books are for Rutgers classes.
  • Alternatively, they can be purchased online at the bookstore's website following the instructions below. (Please be advised that these items usually do not become available until about two weeks before the course begins):

    1. Access the bookstore’s website: http://www.efollett.com
    2. Under Find Your Bookstore, select New Jersey
    3. Under Select Your Institution, select “Atlantic Cape Community College”
    4. Under Select Your Campus, select “Mays Landing/Atlantic City Campuses”
    5. Click on “Find Your Textbooks and Course Materials”.

6. I do not normally take courses at any of the above campuses. Perhaps I'm a non-matriculated student (perhaps an out-of-state student) not planning to graduate from Rutgers University. What procedure should I follow to purchase these texts?

Purchase them online at the University District Bookstore's website (just like Rutgers-Camden students) following the instructions below. (Please be advised that these items usually do not become available until about two weeks before the course begins):
