Your first task today is to make sure your Group Leader has everyone's home page address (or URL), which will look something like this:  http://clam.rutgers.edu/~jstudent         If you posted your home page with the name index.html, this is all you needed.  If you called it something else, then give its full address, e.g.,  http://clam.rutgers.edu/~jstudent/index.htm
If anyone's home page is not at Rutgers, just give the correct Internet URL
The Group Leader should do the following:  1)post all of the members' URL's on his or her own home page  2)give her or his home page address to Andrew Toy so he can list them on his home page.  If you don't get this to Andrew in class, email him at andytoy@vramp.net

After working out the home page listings, discuss the concept of Archetypes as exemplified in the mass media today.  There are several questions to discuss in groups:

• For each member of the group, is there some archetypal character with which you identify?  Who is it?  The character might be drawn from:
• television
• movies
• Shakespeare or other theater
• a literary work
• Greek Mythology
• The Bible or other Religious Text
• Select some television or movie series - or other archetypal cultural product - with which you are all familiar, such as:
• Star Wars
• Mash
• Star Trek
• Children's Literature (Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Alice in Wonderland...)
• any other source
Within this model, which character would each of you most identify with?
Can you see how these characters represent Firstness, Secondness, Thirdness, or Fourthness?  Or do they represent some combination?
