This material is available on Electronic Reserve, a new library service.  To access it, go to the Rutgers Library WEB site (from the computer center, the student center, the lab in front of the library or from your own home with the proper configuration (see the box below), and enter the IRIS catalog system.  Click on "Reserve Desk" and then type in "Goertzel" and click on "Instructor."  Click on "Goertzel, Ted" and then on your class.

Accessing Electronic Reserve Items from Home (or other off-campus sites).
You can also access electronic reserve items from home.  If you dial directly into Rutgers, using your clam password, you will have access the same as if you were on campus.   If you do not have Acrobat Reader on your home compter, you can download it free from Adobe.  If you use an Internet Service Provider (such as AOL or @Home or Earthlink or Freelane) you can still access the materials but you must first configure your home computer for remote access (because of copyright restrictions).  This involves configuring a "proxy server" and then using your ID and Pin Number (check with the library for information if you do not know your ID and Pin number).  This is not terribly difficult if you follow the instructions carefully (printing them out helps), and once you have done it you will have access to a wide range of journals.

For Methods, so far, there are three separate electronic readings:
"Crosstabs of Nominal Variables"
"Direction and Shape of Covariation"
and "Validity, Reliability, Precision and Accuracy"

To access these electronically on campus, just click on them and they will open in Adobe Acrobat Reader (which is available on all the computers in Rutgers computer labs).  You can then print yourself a copy (or just read it on the screen if you prefer).  We were having trouble with printing earlier in the semester, but the computer center assures me this has been resolved.  The files will print quicker if you choose "300 dpi" instead of "600 dpi" (if your software provides a choice).  To download at home, follow the instructions in the box above.

If you prefer not to bother with Electronic Reserve, the same three articles are on reserve as one packet called "Supplement One" on paper reserve at the reserve desk.  You can copy them the old-fashioned way, paying for each page, or just read them in the library.
