The table gives the Course Grade, the total points, the assignment points, attendance points and test points.  I know some of you think the essay grades and the tests were hard, but that was compensated by the assignment points and attendance points. The result seems fair to me.

The details on how the grades were computed are at the end of this page. Please don't email me to explain this personally, if you read the instructions you can figure it out for yourself.

Here's how the grades were computed:

I used WEBCT to compute the assignment points, so you should go there if you want to check on your grades for each assignment. I put a "grades" icon on the WEBCT home page, which shows some of the grades, but not the total points. You can check each grade through the Assignment Dropbox.

If you want to check how your points were added up, use the following formulas.  Please don't email me to explain personally how your grade was computed. You can figure it out - it's only arithmetic.

The formula was as follows:
Midterm, up to 25 points (your percent score multiplied by .25)
Final, up to 35 points (your percent score multiplied by .35)

            These two were added to produce the "test points" column on the spreadsheet

Hyperlink essay, up to 20 points (your percent score multiplied by .20)
Assignments, up to 15 points (your point score on each multiplied by .05), 15 points possible altogether
Attendance, up to 5 points for attending five classes,
Poster Session extra credit, up to 2.5 points.

The Essay and Assignment Points were computed in WEBCT, so the spreadsheet has only the total. The highest possible total was 42.5 points (with the extra credit).
