These are the grades on the first test in Political Sociology.  I've also recorded the attendance data out of six classes.  I have not computed "predicted grades" since I don't have much data yet other than the test.  But if you keep up on the assignments you should do better in the end than you did on this test.  There is quite a range here, many of you did quite well, others not so well.  The material so far was theoretical and abstract, and some people may have difficulty with that.  The next segment of the course will be empirical and analytical;  we will be applying the theories to American electoral politics in the twentieth century.  You can certainly catch up at this point if you are behind simply because you haven't had time to study properly.  If you have really tried and are still having difficulty, ask for some help.  The theories may become clearer as we apply them.
