“Analytical Mechanics, 7^th Ed.” Fowles & Cassiday.  We will cover Chapters 1-6.

Description:

This course is an introduction to Newtonian Mechanics for physicists and engineers.

Requirements:

There will be homework assignments for each chapter, they will be due approximately every two weeks.  This will account for 30% of your grade.

There will be two hourly exams, each worth 20% of your grade.

The final examination will be worth 30% of your grade.

No late assignment will be accepted without clear demonstration of exigent circumstance. Such cases will be dealt with on an individual basis.
