Professor Meloy received her Ph.D. in criminology from the University of Delaware in 2001.  Her research areas include intimate partner violence, sex crimes and sexual offenders, and criminal justice policy.  In 2006 she completed a research monograph entitled Sex offenses and the men who commit them (Northeastern University Press) and is co-authoring a book with Susan L. Miller on the violent victimizations targeting women and children (Oxford University Press). Dr. Meloy teaches courses in gender and crime, family violence, criminal courts, and victim's issues.
