Exams and Grading
 3 exams (50%) Each exam is counted equally. See schedule for exam dates.
 1 Paper (50%)  Your grade for the paper is based on statement of the problem (5%), annotated bibliography (15%), draft (10%), and final paper (20%).

If you expect to be absent on an exam date, please see me to arrange an early testing date. If you miss an exam, contact me within 24 hours to discuss a make up. Make up exams are approved in exceptional circumstances.

Classroom Participation
Because this is a seminar, you will be involved in presenting your research project as it evolves, your responses to the readings, and other small assignments. Participation is tracked and is used to evaluate your progress through the course. For these reasons, attendance is important.
