If an assignment is in the Microcase Workbook for Social Research, you have two alternatives:
1. Tear the pages out of the book (or photocopy them) and complete them in pen or pencil. Turn the assignment in at the beginning of class on the date due. Be sure to put your name on it. Paper assignments must be turned in at the proper time, they may not be handed in early or late, turned in at the instructor's office or the department office, or by fax. You need not append copies of printouts to your assignment, even if the exercise calls for them.
2. The assignment may be posted to WEBCT by the deadline. To do this, simply open a blank page in the Netscape or Mozila Composer (click on "file," "new," and "blank page.") or Frontpage Express or Microsoft Word or another editor. Type your answers in the file, save it in "web page" or html format (see below) and submit it to the WEBCT Assignment Dropbox by the deadline. If you are late, you can submit it to the Late Assignment Dropbox if it is still available (if you have not already used it). Again, you need not append copies of printouts to your assignment, even if the exercise calls for them.
HTML Web Page Format: Html is the format used
on the World Wide Web. All word processors offer this option, if you
do your work in Word or Word Perfect, when you click on "save as" you will
see a box with "save as type" on the bottom. Choose "web page" or "html".
Your file will have the extension *.html or perhaps *.htm. This
format seems to work best in Webct.
