Choosing a Research Topic

This is covered in chapter 16 of the Penguin Handbook.  For this course, I want you to choose a topic that:
  1. Interests you and will be of value to the other students in the class.
  2. Is relevant to your major or academic field of interest.
  3. Involves testing or illustrating some general or theoretical ideas with specific examples or data.
  4. Makes an argument in support of a claim that you make.
