J.T. Barbarese is the author of four books of poetry and a translation of Euripides’ The Children of Heracles. His latest collection, The Black Beach, was published in April 2005 by the University of North Texas Press. His poems have appeared in The Atlantic Monthly, Boulevard, The Georgia Review, The Denver Quarterly, The Cortland Review, and Poetry, and in the anthology, The Italian-American Reader (Morrow, 2003); his translations (from French or Italian) in The Denver Quarterly, Boulevard and Luna; his short fiction in Story Quarterly and The North American Review; and his critical essays and literary journalism in Tri-Quarterly, The Sewanee Review, Studies in English Literature, The Journal of Modern Literature, The New York Times, and The Columbia History of American Poetry (Columbia University Press, 1999).
